Homes of Living Hope Provides Framework for Street’s Hope’s Office and Counseling Space
Louisville, Colo. – June 13, 2016 – Homes of Living Hope, a non-profit that provides the framework for converting used shipping containers into functioning facilities, partnered with non-profit Street’s Hope to retrofit an 8’x9’x20’ shipping container into office and counseling space. Street’s Hope provides holistic, restorative services to women escaping sex trafficking and the commercial sex industry.
This project created the opportunity for Street’s Hope to grow and strengthen connections among the organization’s supporters. “As the number of Street’s Hope staff and residents in the home continues to grow, we have really enjoyed having the container for additional therapy and office space to utilize,” said Peg Theobald, communications & media director for Street’s Hope. “It is such a blessing to have the container and we are so very grateful to HOLH for their hard work and generosity.”
The shipping container was converted by volunteers from Littleton, CO-based Southern Gables Church and Street’s Hope supporters. Mural designs created by Metro State University design students cover the exterior.
The project has several business contributors including Adolfson & Peterson Construction, DLK Engineering, OfficeScapes and Complete Container Services.
“Our goal was to help Street’s Hope grow the connections with their support base during the transformation of this badly needed office and counseling space,” said Bart Wear, Homes of Living Hope Director. “Their efforts transform the lives of the women they support and we were thrilled to support their ability to help even more.”
